Photodynamic therapy

Patients with periodontal pockets still have millions of bacteria within a pocket after their teeth have been cleaned. Unfortunately these cannot be removed mechanically.

To improve therapeutic success, treatment is provided with a diode laser combined with a dye. The interaction between the laser and the specific dye removes 90% of all bacteria from a periodontal pocket in minutes. This is done without using antibiotics at all!
