Cost

The laser appliances used in the dental practice are expensive to buy, but in some cases the use of lasers significantly reduces the number of sessions required for the treatment. A conventional root canal treatment requires three to four sessions, but root canal treatment using a laser can be completed in one or two sessions. There are also some ways of using lasers that can lead to extra costs.

In dental surgery, the cost of laser treatment or treatment by the conventional method is approximately the same.

The primary benefit in terms of cost is that treatment - for example a root canal treatment or soft tissue surgery - takes less time overall (shorter sessions and fewer of them).
